I was sent a very interesting image today, a new Joker comic is apparently coming out in December, this panel features a Harley Quinn design that looks amazingly similar to a photo manipulations I did in 2007. I’ll let you be the judge.

Yep, all new website where you'll find all my artwork is now up, not only that, but I'll be doing workshops and tutorials for any novice fan artists who wish to improve their own artwork, I've been asked many times to do tutorials so I figure no better opportunity than now to finally do some.

I'm starting a new Website folks, DA inability to police it's own website is a joke, spouting crap generic messages and not making life any easier, I'll continue to post Journal Entries to tell when I've created new stuff, but I'm no-longer posting on Deviant Art, things have become too much of a headache, seems my 15 mins of internet fame has come at a price.  I'll set up a new site in a few days, I hope all that have added me as Friends will journey on over with me to my new website when it's up and running.

update - Just a post script, I find it very amusing that Deviant Art have not been able to answer me this very simple question that I've asked a number of times to them, 'Why is there a Fan Art Section?', that seems to be the one question they do not have a link to in their FAQ's.

Yep, 8 more are 'on hold', Deviant Art have given me 7 days to fix the copyright issue, only problem is they haven't told me what the copyright issues actually are so I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't.  Why do I bother?  Thanks Deviant Art for your useless, generic messages.

Update 2 - Just got a reply back from WB that my request has been forwarded to the Warner Bros Copyright Department, although it may be some time before they respond as they get heaps of copyright inquiries. At least it's there, now it's just the waiting game.    

Update - Got a reply email from WB (very quickly I might add), they've given me an email address to send my inquires too.  Fingers crossed!

Well, turns out Warner Bros had nothing to do with the removal of my Batman 3 series of Fan posters, a Deviant Art member is the one who's owned up to reporting the copyright violation, I'll give them kudos for at least admitting it, I'm not going to say anything bad about this person as they are within their rights to do what they did.  That said, I'm now in the process of trying to contact Warner Bros head of marketing in order to obtain permission to use the imagery that I did use.  This may seem like an extreme measure, but there's no harm in trying.

Folks, Deviant Art have deleted my Batman 3 Posters series, I'm awaiting to hear back as to the reasoning, apparently some copyright issues, even though it's just fan art.  Hope to get it sorted out soon.

Just noticed they deleted my original Harley Quinn as well for some unknown reason.

Update - Here's the Deviant Art response: "To sum it up simply; Your deviantART submissions must consist entirely of your own work made 'from scratch' or it must use only valid stock resources. Content such as screenshots, celebrity photographs, video game sprites, and other similar materials are considered off-limits for use here."

Wow, such a generic answer, funny how they don't apply these conditions to everyone on this site, if they did, there would be only about 100 things to view, be assured, they are going to get a very long and very detailed reply from me.

Update - Finally sent off my reply to DA, I'm glad I took a few weeks to think about my response and consult with a friend in legal, I possibly would have hurled abuse had I replied straight away, and that would have led to more drama.  Fingers crossed, if it's a matter of getting permission by Warner Bros then I will try and do so.

Update - So now I've had another artwork removed, my Harley Quinn Dark Knight Still, again another generic response, this is now beyond a joke.  I'm seriously considering closing down my page.

After the insane amount of traffic that's visited my DA page over the last few days I've gotten quite a few 'Requests for Print' for my poster designs.  Sadly folks, I'm unable to put the Dark Knight style poster designs up for print as they breach copyright conditions, so I'm afraid the only way to get a print is if you print it on your own printer or at a print shop, most of my stuff is good enough for A4 size paper which is not to bad a size.

Well, what an interesting last 36 hours it's been.  My obscure little fan art designs which were only ever meant to be seen by a small number of comic fans seem to have taken on a life of their own.  Big thanks to all who have added comments and collected pieces as Faves, I'd reply to you all, but there's just so many to reply too.  And a big shout out to the websites that have posted my work over the last 2 days.

Wow! 10, 000 page views, only 2 months ago I had 5,000, how things can change.  Big thanks to all who have commented and added my works to their Faves over the past year or so. Here's to 10, 000 more!

EDIT 1: Um, 20,000 page views, doubled within 24 hours?   Holy Crap.

EDIT 2: Turns out my designs have made an appearance on Slashfilm, Cinematical and JoBlo, this is beyond insane the amount of traffic that's coming on here, my page views have literally trebled in the last 24 hours, I can't replay to all the comments and Faves, they were never suppose to get this big, make it stop!!!!!

Edit 3: Add First Showing to the list of sites, why does all this make me nervous?

My newest Riddler and Harley posters are getting a hell of a lot of traffic nearly 2 weeks after posting them, not sure why, they're not on any of the most popular pages here on Deviant Art so I'm not sure why they're still getting so many hits.  Cool but confusing...

I was trying to figure out why my newest Harley Quinn poster had about 4 times as many views as my other 2 posters that I'd just released.  Turns out it made it to Deviant Arts most popular section!  Don't know how this happened, but it's cool! I've gotten more messages and comments in the last 24 hours than I'm use to, usually I try to send as many thank you messages to those who added my work to their Favs but on this occasion there's just so many to reply too, so I'll just say one big thanks to the regulars and newcombers.

Just saw it, all I can say is see it.

It took me 9 months to get to a thousand page views, and just over 6 months to get to five thousand, how quickly things change.  Thanks to all who have viewed my stuff, commented, added me to their friends list and added my artworks to their favorites gallery, look out for more artwork to come!

Ok, so I've managed to complete 3 of the 6 illustrations in my Nolanized Batman Series, however, I've come to a crossroad where I'm not sure which three characters I'm going to do next, I was planning on doing at least Joker and Batman (and maybe Gordon), but I've realised there's not a great deal I can do to the character in terms of design, plus there's so much Nolan Joker and Batman related artwork already, I feel the market has become to saturated.  As a result, I'm going to complete the final 3 at a latter date once I decide whom to do next.  Also, the constant use of DC characters in my design as started to become a little tedious, so I think I'm going to turn my attention on reinventing some other famous characters.....

.....and I'm looking squarely at you Disney.

Got a series of 6 illustrations I've been working on, a complete series, all linked.  Hopefully won't be too much longer.  UPDATE:  Sorry for the delay, I've been sizzling up my new illustration series, however work commitments have left me with little time to complete the designs, hopefully that will change shortly.  I was gonna release them all at once but will probably now upload them individually.  

Technology sucks.  I had spent 6 or so hours painting on a DC related illustration in Photoshop and Corel Painter only to have my computer crash and corrupt the file.  I still have the original sketch though so all is not lost, I'll put that first one down as a test.
